I'm also avoiding FPV because at one point my Sim ended up with his head stuck turned sideways afterward, which made it look bizarre when he was talking to people, even more so when you're talking to someone at a table to your left but looking to the right and the person to your left is looking to their left, so they're looking in opposite directions, which I'd guess might be a glitch from the FPV. It's not something I'm interested in doing again, but it was certainly an amusing few seconds. But for those people who might get excited by Sims doing it (and, as I learned when I did a quick search after reading a comment on another topic, there's apparently a lot of them), the head not being locked in place is better, because you can examine everything going on. Can make for a mildly dizzying experience.

until you realize how awkward FPV can be.Ĭalculating the exact angle the eyes need to be atĮxact angles would be moot, because you can swivel your head all over the place, it's not locked in position. Options are included to help you with field of view, interacting with the world, and getting. Do nothing, and the camera will follow your Sims gaze. While in first person, youre able to look around normally but through your Sims eyes.
SIMS 4 FIRST PERSON CAMERA HOTKEY PATCH
But if an opportunity presents itself, well, sometimes you're curious to see what your Sim sees. The Sims 4 patch on Novemadded first person mode to the game. I was playing mostly to try the new actor career, fame, reputation, all that. I haven't touched Sims 4 in months and I can't say I'm bothered enough to load it just to see how well Sims look at each other when they're screwing! But if you're curious to see what your Sim sees in the act, the animations work surprisingly well. If people absolutely want to see two people going at it in "first person view," they're better off going to a site dedicated to that kind of thing (though that does lean heavily on the guy's perspective). Some of them will end up with your Sim looking through the middle of their own body some animations still end up clipping the Sims through walls and then FP won't even show the Sims and FP can swing the camera around a bit too wildly and sometimes changing animations will flip you in a random direction. If you're really "into" that, the animations work for the most part right now. I was curious last night after people talked about it so much, so switched to FP a couple of times when my Sim would, ah, "engage" with another Sim, and it works. Doesn't need too many updates, but some of the animations might use some cleanup.
