Cecep Arif Rahman as "The Assassin", Bejo's top enforcer who uses the karambit as his signature weapon. Alex Abbad as Bejo, a self-made Jakarta crime boss who considers himself very ambitious. Yayan Ruhian as Prakoso, Bangun's most loyal and dedicated hitman. Oka Antara as Eka, Bangun's consigliere who holds a secret of his own. Tio Pakusadewo as Bangun, a notorious kingpin who is one of the two mob bosses in control of Jakarta's underworld. Arifin Putra as Uco, an arrogant mobster who is the impatient son and heir to Bangun. Cok Simbara as Bunawar, the head of the internal investigation unit who recruits Rama to bring down the police–mob collusion. 
His alias "Yuda" is a reference to Uwais' character in his debut film Merantau.
Iko Uwais as Rama/Yuda, one of the three surviving police officers of the first film's eponymous raid, and a special forces member turned undercover agent. During a prison riot, several inmates led by Benny, an inmate who betrayed Uco, attempt to kill him before Rama saves him. To be arrested, and to gain favor with Uco, Rama is instructed to assault the son of the official who put Uco in prison. Following Andi's funeral, Rama agrees to go undercover and is tasked with infiltrating the underworld by going to prison to befriend Bangun's son Uco under the alias 'Yuda'. Rising crime boss Bejo executes Andi, who had taken over after the death of his former boss Tama. Bunawar asks Rama to go undercover to expose the other corrupt officials' dealings with the local Bangun and Japanese Goto crime syndicates Rama refuses. 
Bunawar, the head of an internal investigation unit, sends the injured Bowo for treatment but executes Wahyu, assuring Rama it is to protect him from corrupt cops like Wahyu Bunawar also tells Rama that the legal system cannot fix the problem and that testifying would only endanger him and his family. Two hours after the events of the first film, the surviving officers of the Jakarta apartment raid - Rama, Bowo and a detained Lieutenant Wahyu - rendezvous with Lieutenant Bunawar on the advice of Rama's brother Andi. The film was released in the United States and Canada by Sony Pictures Classics on 28 March 2014.
